People are always concerned about tread life when purchasing tires... I just did my 2nd oil change/tire rotation since putting my ATZs on; which means these tires have 10,000 on the clock.

I'm very impressed with their wear so far and thought it'd be a good idea to throw up some pictures

and measurements. I'll update the thread with each 5,000 mile interval

Starting tread depth = 20/32 (.625")
10,000 mile tread depth = 18/32

So it looks like my first 10,000 miles wore about 1/16 off. Note that it's hard to decipher the exact tread measurement in that picture because the camera is not parallel with the line of measurement.

thanks guy.

i think it would be great if a lot of people started doing this.... then we could put together a stickie that has the links to all the "tread wear logs" for different tire.

forgot to note in my first post that i keep the fronts at 40 and the rears at 35 psi on my 1500. we all know that tire pressures and truck weights are huge factors... so thought id throw that out there as ab fyi.... i wouldnt expect a 2500HD that tows daily to get the same results as me, so thats probably pertinent info for these threads.

I'd be happy to do it if we can get some more folks doing it. I'm about to put new skins on my truck. I'll do it.

Great idea. This would give soon-to-be buyers some hard evidence on the best bang for the buck. When my tires wear out I would definately refer to the sticky:thumbs:

So Jim,+1 on the sticky
